Cycling along the Mawddach Trail

300m from Bryn Adda.

From the doorstep of Bryn Adda, LL40 1YA - take a left turn at the bottom of the lane by the post box.  At the T-junction, turn right and go over the bridge, the car park on your left, which heads to Barmouth.  The trail on the other side of the road heads to Dolgellau, both suitable for a leisurely bike ride.

The eight mile or 15km walk follows the bed of the old Great Western railway to Barmouth. Being level, it is accessible for wheel chair users. Along the way there are 2 RSPB sites and the trail can be accessed at various points such as Pont y Wernddu, Penmaenpool/Taicynhaeaf/Arthog and Morfa Mawddach.
